A very important Town leadership role, the TEM is a highly qualified professional tasked with improving the Town’s multimodal transportation. Managing a team of 11 employees including 3 direct reports, the TEM will oversee the Town’s Transportation Engineering Program within the Public Works Department and with a $2 million budget, will provide oversight for multimodal construction and improvement projects ranging from $50,000 to over $1 million. A Bachelor’s in Engineering degree-level of study or appropriate certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties is required. A Bachelor’s in Transportation or Traffic Engineering is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in transportation/traffic engineering with 3 years at a supervisory or lead level is required. Professional Engineering License and experience in a college town of similar size preferred. The hiring range for the position is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
