As the Director of Environmental Services at Widseth, you will oversee a diverse group of professionals that work on a variety of challenging projects. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in environmental sciences, geology, or water quality. As a key member of the firm, your focus will be on:
Mange environmental services department and personnel.
Drive the department’s business development initiatives.
Provide background and technical support for surface water quality, stormwater, and watershed issues.
Work with a team for municipal well design, specifications, and construction.
Utilize knowledge of hydrogeologic investigation methods and well hydraulics, including analyzing pumping tests.
Administer Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and contact with the MPCA Voluntary Investigation and Cleanup (VIC) Program.
Oversee wetland delineation reports and wetland permit applications.
Provide project management for Environmental Assessment projects including EAs, EAWs, EISs AUARs and Categorical Exclusions (CATEXs).
Coordinate landfill monitoring and permitting staff, especially with demolition debris landfills.
Oversee groundwater modeling and wellhead protection planning.
Oversee Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans and underground storage tank leak detection and monitoring requirements.
To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
Leadership and organizational skills.
Ten to fifteen years of experience in the environmental consulting field is desired.
Experience providing technical services for watershed management.
Licensed as a P.E., P.G., or S.S. or ability to obtain license.
BS/BA in engineering, sciences, or relevant field.
Project management experience for environmental projects.
Office location for this position can be any of our 9 locations.
