Develop & maintain a Quality Management System on any standards that may become necessary due to the direction of the business needs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
To define a method to maintain processes and systems to determine the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and verify quality activities comply with contractual obligations and determine the effectiveness of the quality system.
Develop an audit schedule of Internal Quality Audits as necessary to verify all major areas in the current scope of the ISO/AS certification.
Conducts audits and review audit findings, and assures closure of corrective actions
Write manuals, procedures, and written instructions to document the quality system compliance to applicable required documents.
Establishes regulatory compliance programs and procedures such as AS9100 documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with agency, and or government regulations.
Ensure the proper equipment is available, maintained and calibrated for work performed by the nondestructive testing, calibration, and tool certification sections.
Work directly with other groups to Create written procedures to ensure that products conform to specifications and Thrush Aircraft requirements.
Reports program effectiveness and issues and makes recommendations to site management.
Assures that the performance of all new and existing parts meets engineering and production. requirements by working closely with engineering, production supervisors, and technicians
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, charts, graphs, etc. and be able to use precision measuring/inspection equipment.

Manage special projects as assigned by Upper Management.
Direct and maintain activities to ensure a system of calibration is effectively managed, send out items for calibration and or manage and conduct in-house calibration.
Conduct Supplier Audits via telephone, email, site visits, to ensure Thrush suppliers conform and perform to Thrush specifications and standards.
Previous Technical Writing skills.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience with vendor/supplier control.
Thorough knowledge of aircraft completion production and/or manufacturing process operations.
Previous experience with process generation and process control.
Prior experience with work order/production order generation for step by step production activities.
Previous experience with quality system audits, audit plan generation, audit scheduling and audit reporting.
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, charts, graphs, etc. and be able to use precision measuring/inspection equipment
Well-developed critical thinking, logic, and analytical skills.
Must possess above average verbal, written skills, and interpersonal communication skills.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Four-year degree in aircraft or business-related field.
2. Experience working directly with suppliers to obtain corrective actions. 3. Must be Pro-active and team orientated. 5. AS9100 familiarization and/or training.
Previous Leadership Experience.
1. Must be able to walk long distances, climb, and kneel for extended periods of time. 2. Lift up to 75 pounds. 3. Pass vision testing. 4. Travel required by surface and air, including international travel.
