This is especially true when it comes to plant engineering and construction on the large scale; there are many challenges to overcome. We are seeking a professional like you to join our Freeport, TX site in the Ammonia plant. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the daily operation of the unit while providing technical assistance in executing the required production plan. You will apply Engineering Best Practices to solve process and production problems and create improvements in the plant operations. You will analyze productivity, quality, and maintenance data and use that information to optimize existing plant equipment. This position requires you to demonstrate your strong leadership qualities in safe plant operation, as the site has PSM/RMP regulated chemicals.
You will need to be available ("on-call"), should you need to respond to any after-hours event that impacts production or EHS.

Support and role model EHS activities and processes.
Support development and implementation of processes to achieve compliance with EHS regulations.
Lead the coordination, completion, and documentation of PSSR / MOC reviews to meet process safety and environmental requirements.
Provide technical support in root cause failure analysis for EHS incidents.
Leveraging your education in an Engineering discipline or professional experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting skills to the Daily Operations Team.
Utilizing your familiarity with chemical processing equipment, you will monitor operations on a daily/weekly basis and analyze and study trends to determine patterns, research inefficiencies, and identify action plans to correct issues.
Your dedication to continuous improvement will be evident as you develop and implement process improvement plans that will enhance safety, quality, plant reliability, cost, and efficiency.
Through your extensive knowledge, you will supply your engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of projects in accordance with plant design requirements, BASF standards, and regulatory requirements, as well as serve as the Manufacturing Representative on Capital Projects.
As a key technical resource, you work to develop critical thinking and troubleshooting skills of the production staff.
Successfully engaging within the organization, you will collaborate with plant operations, maintenance and engineering.
Your ability to adapt to regular changes in priorities is necessary in this role as you will encounter occasions to support plant outages and may be involved in the planning and execution of plant turnarounds.
