Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational background in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, combined with your knowledge of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, UFLC, LC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, NIR, you will ensure laboratory instrumentations perform properly and are setup according to documented laboratory methods. In addition, you will support operations by developing, documenting and implementing analytical methods raw material release, in-process control and environmental compliance as needed.
As a key member of the quality control group, your ability to communicate well, work with others, and thrive within a fast-paced, demanding environment will be a valued asset as you use your laboratory skills to support operations and customer needs.
Your solid judgment in dealing with others and in dealing with technical issues of quality, compliance and regulatory concern will be essential as you ensure laboratory compliance with all regulatory, BASF and Site EHS Policies and practices for quality and safety.
Your computer proficiency and knowledge of Laboratory Management Information System and SAP will serve you well as you maintain and develop Product Assurance Plans (PAPs) and the SAPQM database.
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will take an active part in scale-up and plant introduction of newly developed chemical processes and participate in the transfer of analytical methods.
Your experience using chromatography and physical chemistry analysis will be a valued as you utilize existing, and implement new, analytical technologies toward increasing analytical efficiencies in support of production, environmental and quality control groups.
Demonstrating your experience providing analytical chemistry support in a chemical manufacturing environment, you will support management of change (MOC) process for laboratory activities involving changes in environmental permit, raw material vendors, product assurance plans, chemical process, specification, analytical methods, etc.
Your robust technical skills will be critical as you maintain and troubleshoot laboratory and/or plant analytical equipment. You will oversee and help prioritize activities and duties in the laboratory.
Relying on your solid leadership experience and demonstrated strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, you may be called upon to help supervise, lead, train and evaluate technicians. You will also give guidance for longer term projects, organize workload and prioritize projects.
