Area of research: Synthesis-structure-property relation studies for composite energetic nanomaterials
Salary: $52,000.00 per year
The applicant will be responsible for the design and development of high-energy non-equilibrium laser ablation synthesis routes for manufacturing composite nanomaterials with tunable interfacial functionalities for energetic, catalytic, battery applications. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should have had experiences with building combustion performance test manifolds for high-energy density nanomaterials or energetic nanomaterials for solid propulsion applications. The position requires an experienced, independent and creative researcher with hands-on knowledge of building and testing lasers and optical experimental set-ups for synthesis-structure-property studies on composite and metastable nanomaterials with highly activated surface functionalities.
